Announcement: For Mauritians

hey everyone,

it's been a while we have been thinking about renting a container to get all our stuffs at once to Mauritius (specially those in 6th year) and i contacted the local custom office for some details which might interest those having luggage to send to Mauritius.  this announcement is valid only up till December 2009 but it does give us a good idea of the price we might expect at any time of the year.  for the smallest container available for shipment (20 feet with a capacity of 19 tonnes[19000kg]!).  An approximate count will give us a mean of 8.7 rupees/Kg if we manage to fill up 19 tonnes!

Anyway please pass on the message to those interested and let us know as soon as possible... if we don't manage to fill up the 19 tonnes we shall divide the total cost by everyone who sent luggages according to the number of kilos they sent... in any case it will be cheaper than sending by post or any other means.
